The Process

Getting Solar installed is a simple process

We always aim to make the process of working with us as easy and straightforward as possible. At the same time, we like to keep you informed of what’s happening at every stage. We could talk about solar PV all day, so if there’s anything else you would like to know, just ask. Buying tips.

    Choosing the right system and components

  • Our solar consultants will take their time to educate you on your options? We’re not tied to any manufacturer, so can recommend the best solar panel manufacturer for every customer.

    Free connection application to Energex or Ergon

  • Before you commence your installation of solar power, you must gain permission from Energex or Ergon connect to the network by making a network connection application. We will do this for you free of charge.

    Arranging Finance

  • We don’t want anyone to miss out on the benefits of a solar PV system, that’s why homeandenergy can help you with a range of finance packages that giving you a super low interest rates.

    Invoice and order form

  • We’ll send you an invoice and order form clearly stating the system size and components you have ordered. You will also be given the total out of pocket expense for the whole project. There are no hidden costs or surprises.

    Your installation

  • Most installs can be completed within one day, but some will run into two – for example, it takes more time to install on more complex roofs and larger systems. Our in house CEC accredited install will arrange a convenient time to install your system. On arrival they will confirm the final position and the equipment and make sure you are happy with everything. After the install, work areas will be left clean and tidy and all rubbish will be taken away. Time will be taken to talk you through how everything works.

    Post Installation

  • One your installation is complete we notify Energex or Ergon that system is ready to connect.

    Meter change

  • Energex or Ergon will change your meter to one that measures how much energy you buy and how much you sell.

    System Operation

  • We send you an installation pack that has every detail you need to know. The shutdown and isolation procedure, system performance estimate, maintenance procedure and timetable, commissioning sheet and installation checklist, installer/designer’s declaration of compliance and warranty information.

    We always encourage our customers to keep in touch and remain updated on how their system is going. We like to hear about how well it’s working and if for some reason it’s not we will fix it.
